Ubisoft has announced that the physical release of the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 version of Star Wars Outlaws will be a game-key card. The game will release on September 4.
This means that Star Wars Outlaws will not be included on the Nintendo Switch 2 game card. Instead, players must download it after inserting it into the console for the first time. However, the Switch 2 will not link game-key card games to accounts. This means that players can slot the game card to other systems and play it without conflicts.
Recently, Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment announced that the new “A Pirate’s Fortune” DLC will launch on May 15. In the DLC, players will see Kay Vess and Nix team up with Hondo Ohnaka (from Star Wars: The Clone Wars) on a new adventure. It will take place after the main story of the base game. They will face off against Stinger Tash and her Rokana Raiders and search the Khepi Tomb to uncover the secrets and hidden treasures. The Miyuki Trade League will also become available with contracts. Players can complete it to receive new rewards.
The new DLC will be available at no additional cost to those who own the Star Wars Outlaws Season Pass. Others will need to purchase it for $14.99. An update will release alongside the DLC on May 15 featuring free cosmetic items inspired by Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, including a new outfit for Nix, a Trophy for the speeder, and a Trinket for the speeder and Trailblazer.
Star Wars Outlaws will release for Nintendo Switch 2 via game key card on September 4. The game is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
