Funcom has released a new trailer for Dune: Awakening, which focuses on the game’s base building mechanics. It will release for PC via Steam on June 10.
Players can use materials to build massive bases and forts to protect them from the dunes of Arrakis. You can build these fortresses with other players and even utilize specific pieces of architecture that vary depending on whether you ally with House Atreides or House Harkonnen. Recently, Funcom revealed that a large-scale beta for Dune: Awakening will be held from May 9 to May 12. The beta will encompass the game’s first act and its initial 20 hours. It will be Dune: Awakening‘s largest beta thus far. Players can get their spot reserved for the upcoming beta by going to the game’s Steam page and requesting access.
Pre-orders are available now, and the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions will be available at a later date. Three editions are available: a standard, deluxe, and ultimate edition. The deluxe edition includes access to the game on June 5, a season pass, and Sardaukar Bator Armor. The ultimate edition includes the aforementioned content, as well as Caladan Palace Building Set, Dune (2021) Film Stillsuit, a Digital Artbook, a Digital Soundtrack, a Blue Dasher Ornithopter Swatch, and a Dusk Rider Sandbike Swatch.
Dune: Awakening will release on June 10 for PC via Steam, with head start (early access) beginning on June 5. It will later be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
