Sabotage Studio announced the Sea of Stars Throes of the Watchmaker DLC will launch on May 20 across all platforms.

The Sea of Stars Throes of the Watchmaker DLC features a new story line, a new playable character, and much more. In the DLC, protagonists Valere and Zale will return to one of the most captivating characters they met on their journey, the Watchmaker.

The protagonists will venture into the magical miniature clockwork world of Horloge. When the land is threatened by a cursed carnival, they must adapt to unfamiliar rules to master their Sun and Moon powers. In fact, Valere and Zale will both learn new fighting styles. The DLC will also introduce the Artificer, a new playable character, alongside additional areas, music, puzzles and enemies to encounter.

According to Sabotage Studio, the DLC will feature a new score from lead composer Eric W. Brown, in collaboration with Yasunori Mitsuda who will return as a guest composer with additional original songs.

Sea of Stars was inspired by classic Japanese RPGs from the 90s, including Xenogears, Chrono Trigger, and Final Fantasy. Xenoblade Chronicles series composer Yasunori Mitsuda contributed to the stellar soundtrack of Sea of Stars. The game sold 100,000 copies on launch day, and went on to sell millions of copies in the months that followed.

Lastly, Sea of Stars is available now for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. The game costs $34.99.
