The official YouTube channel for COVER Corporation and hololive Alternative’s Holoearth project is now streaming an animated promotional video featuring the theme song “Sekai no Shikisai (Color of the World)” by VTuber AZKi and Maaya Uchida. The video was animated by staff at WIT Studio.
Masaaki Tanaka directed the Holoearth animated video at WIT Studio, and Tanaka is also credited for storyboards and editing. Yumiko Yamamoto is the character designer and animation director. Satomi Sugimoto is the art director, and Yui Ito is credited as the color designer, color coordinator, and coloring checker. Ogawa Kohei is the 3D director, Tsunetaka Ema is the director of photography, and Yoshiyuki Oguri is the sound director.
The cast of the Holoearth animated video includes:
- Ikumi Hasegawa as the protagonist
- Shion Wakayama as Mithra
- Masaya Wada as NaviRobo
Following Final Weapon’s interview with COVER Corporation CEO Motoaki Tanigo (YAGOO) in November 2024, we had the opportunity to follow up and interview Holoearth and hololive Alternative producer Yuuki Oooka. In the interview, Oooka discusses the main sub-projects of Holoearth, development of the platform, new features in consideration, and its expansion in global markets. The producer also discussed Holoearth’s plans with hololive production and what it could mean for VTuber-related content in the future.
Holoearth is now available on PC in its version 1.0 release after nearly three years of beta tests.
