HoYoverse announced Genshin Impact Version 5.6 “Paralogism” will launch on May 7 with a new Archon Quest Interlude chapter leading players back to Mondstadt. In addition, a new amusement park opens in Fontaine, and the new characters Escoffier and Ifa make their playable debut.
The Windblume Festival returns in Genshin Impact Version 5.6, but matters take a turn for the worst with Albedo at its center. Travelers must investigate an incident alongside Venti, and other familiar faces from the Knights of Favonius will appear. Moreover, the Hexenzirkel’s Lady Alice will appear. Travelers must undergo a magical trial to gain her support and defend Mondstadt. The trial also serves as a new Weekly Boss Challenge.

Meanwhile, the Chevalmarin Film Fantasyland arrives in Fontaine. Navia and other familiar characters from Fontaine and Natlan will work with players and help them run the amusement park. There will be three main attractions to manage: Eclectic Escapades, Movie Masterpieces, and Mellow Manor. Players can upgrade facilities and improve Service Value by recruiting and training employees. Players can maximize their revenue and unlock Performance Rewards, including the new event-exclusive 4-star bow Sequence of Solitude.
Escoffier arrives as a new 5-star Cryo polearm wielder and the former head chef of the famous Hotel Debord. Her Elemental Skill allows her to summon the All-Spectrum Multi-Use Cooking Mek, which can absorb Elemental Attacks, prepare food items, and deal blasts of Cryo DMG. Escoffier’s Elemental Burst can heal allies, and her Elemental Skill and Burst abilities can reduce enemies’ Hydro and Cryo RES.
Ifa is a new 4-star Anemo catalyst user from Natlan’s Flower-Feather Clan, and he’s accompanied by his Qucusaurus companion Cacucu. He can heal teammates with Tonicshots while dealing damage and summon a wind current that pulls enemies in. While in the Nightsoul’s Blessing state, Ifa boosts Swirl and Electro-Charged DMG depending on the party’s Nightsoul Points. Ifa can also heal the active character when their HP falls below a certain point.
In Version 5.6, the first phase of the update’s Event Wishes will feature Escoffier, Navia, and Ifa. In the second phase, Kinich and Raiden Shogun will be featured in the Event Wishes. Moreover, the update brings back the Chronicled Wish with various 5-star characters from Inazuma.

HoYoverse also revealed that Genshin Impact is collaborating with Charlotte Tilbury, the iconic British beauty brand. Starting April 30, two co-branded beauty boxes featuring limited-edition Genshin Impact merchandise inspired by Mona, along with some of Charlotte Tilbury’s best-selling products, will be available for sale in over 35 countries and regions.
