Bethesda has revealed that an announcement of pertaining to the upcoming remaster of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will take place on April 22. The event will stream on its YouTube and Twitch accounts at 11 AM EDT/8 AM PDT.
The first reports of the new The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion remaster initially surfaced in an FTC document, alongside the previously announced Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and Doom: The Dark Ages. Based on the leak, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will be remastered in Unreal Engine 5.
Further, Bethesda will reportedly rework six gameplay systems: stamina, sneaking, blocking, archery, hit reaction and HUD. Supposedly, the developers have taken inspiration from Souls-like games for improvements to the blocking system. The release date for the remake is currently unknown. That said, the leak states that it will release in June 2025, but plans could have changed.
