Bandai Namco Filmworks announced the Backstabbed in a Backwater Dungeon: My Trusted Companions Tried to Kill Me, But Thanks to the Gift of an Unlimited Gacha I Got LVL 9999 Friends and Am Out For Revenge on My Former Party Members anime will premiere in fall 2025. The cast and staff of the anime were also announced alongside a new trailer and newly unveiled key visual.
The cast of the Backstabbed in a Backwater Dungeon anime includes Nina Tamaki as Light and Ikumi Hasegawa as Mei. Katsushi Sakurabi directs the anime at J.C. STAFF, and Hiroshi Ohnogi is in charge of the series scripts. Yoshikazu Iwanami is the sound director, Yukie Suzuki is the character designer, and Ryō Takahashi is the music composer.
Shisui Meikyou launched the light novel series in April 2020, and the 12th volume of the series will ship on April 18.
