During INDIE Live Expo 2025, indie developer Nyamoli@ announced squid potion shop management game Ikasumi Potion launches on October 10 for PC via Steam. The game’s English title is Squid Ink Potion, and a demo is also available now on Steam.

Story
You end up making potions together with Sumimi , a squid who runs a suspicious potion shop. The ingredients for the potion are water, kelp… and squid ink ?! Sell the potions you make to earn money. Use that money to buy new ingredients and make new potions! What is Sumimi’s ambition that becomes clear as she saves money?

Octopuses
Of course, wherever there are squids, there are octopuses too!
Kasumi the mysterious octopus can write talismans with her octopus ink and attach them to opponents to seal their powers.
Stimulate the other person to hear what they have to say, then give the appropriate potion to Kasumi based on what you hear.
Be careful, as the talismans seem to have the opposite effect to the original potion …!

- Sumi – Suspicious Squid Potion Shop Owner. They can eat ingredients and spit them out as ink to create potions. They will hire you as a part-timer and give you a variety of jobs.
- Kasumi – A mysterious octopus. It seems to be searching for a white soft-bodied person…? He will appear before you from time to time and ask you various questions.
- Customers – From standard animals like cats and rabbits to cat-shaped robots and ghost slugs. A variety of non-human characters appear, including rare species such as carp and kirin!
