WWWave Corporation announced that the TV anime adaptation of Chinjao Musume and Tama Nogami’s Chuhai Lips: Canned Flavor of Married Women manga premieres in July 2025. In addition, the anime’s main cast members, staff, and key visual were revealed on the anime’s official website.
The cast of the anime includes:
- Takahide Ishii as Tsuyoshi
- Shiho Kawaragi as Yui Koriyama
Hajime Keima directs the anime series at studio raiose, and Keima is also handling series composition. Yoriko Karei is the character designer and color designer for the anime, and Yutaka Aota is the art director. Tomohiro Hayashi is the director of photography and editor, and Fumihiko Odera is the sound director. More cast members will be announced at a later date.
WWWave’s Deregula label is producing Chuhai Lips: Canned Flavor of Married Women as the label’s second anime after Yandere Dark Elf: She Chased Me All the Way From Another World. The label carries uncensored versions of the anime, which are streamed instead of aired on TV networks in Japan. HIDIVE is currently streaming Yandere Dark Elf in the west with a “least censored” version.
Musume and Nogami released the manga on Kodansha’s YanMaga Web website in February 2021, and its still ongoing. The manga focuses on Tsuyoshi, a college student who loves drinking strong canned chuhai (Shōchū Highball, or a mix between shōchū and carbonated water), and his encounters with married women. Kodansha publishes the manga in compiled book volumes, and the the volume was released back in November 2024.
