The official website for the Lupin the IIIrd franchise has announced that the new 2D-animated film will premiere in theaters on June 27. It has also revealed a new trailer and theme song for the upcoming release.
The movie will be titled Lupin the IIIrd The Movie: Immortal Bloodline. B’z will perform the opening theme, titled “The IIIRD Eye.” It is unknown if the film will premiere in the West. Check out the trailer for the new Lupin the IIIrd film below:

The Lupin the IIIrd franchise originally began in 1965 with the release of the first manga. The fictional French “gentleman thief,” Arsène Lupin, inspired the creation of the series. Over the years, several anime and film adaptations have released, with the most recent movie premiering in 2019.
The last 2D-animated film in the franchise was Lupin III: The Legend of the Gold of Babylon in 1985. The first season of the original Lupin the IIIrd anime is available now on several streaming and purchasing sites.
