This morning’s Nintendo Direct: Nintendo Switch 2 presentation was packed with all kinds of game announcements and reveals, but there was a suspicious lack of information regarding the pricing of the console. Shortly after, Nintendo confirmed that the Nintendo Switch 2 will be priced at $449.99 in the United States.
However, the biggest surprise came with the reveal that Mario Kart World will be priced at $79.99. This likely will set a precedent throughout the games industry going forward, as the standard MSRP rate for AAA games currently sits at $69.99. As the day has gone on, we’ve gotten more confirmation on what each game shown off today will be priced at, and it seems that Nintendo is taking a variable approach.
Here’s the pricing of every Nintendo Switch 2 game so far, as confirmed by retailer listings and MSRP from Nintendo:
- Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remaster – $39.99
- Donkey Kong Bananza – $69.99
- Kirby and the Forgotten Land + Star Crossed World – $79.99
- Mario Kart World – $79.99
- Street Fighter 6 Year 1+2 Fighters Edition – $59.99
- Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition – $79.99
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition – $69.99
- The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition – $79.99
Nintendo Switch 2 is set to arrive on June 5, 2025, with Mario Kart World in tow as a launch title.
