MomoCon 2025 announced its lineup of special guests will include Goichi “Suda51” Suda, Hidetaka “Swery” Suehiro, and musician Darryl “DMC” McDaniels. Fans can also expect news about Hotel Barcelona and Death Game Hotel, which both have direct involvement from Swery.
During MomoCon 2025, Suda51 will speak with journalist Jonathan Holmes for a chat about his career in game development and his achievements. Swery will also be on stage to reveal news about Hotel Barcelona and Death Game Hotel, with the latter being relaunched as a free-to-play game on April 10. Although not gaming-related, DMC will be at MomoCon 2025 to share his wisdom into the music industry.
MomoCon 2025 will feature a lineup of fighting game tournaments, which will take place at the Georgia World Congress Center from May 22-25. Fighting game fans can look forward to tournaments featuring Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, Rivals of Aether II, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, and Guilty Gear Strive. There will also be tournaments for the following titles listed below:
- Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
- Super Smash Bros. Melee
- Splatoon 3
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
- Mario Party Superstars
- Super Mario Party: Jamboree
Additionally, several tournaments feature cash prize pools up to $5,000. The Smash Bros. Ultimate singles bracket has a $5,000 prize pool split amongst the top 8 finishers. Splatoon 3 includes a $1,000 pot bonus paid out to the top three teams, and the top eight players in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe 12-player free-for-all will be rewarded from a $2,300 pot bonus.
