    Tekken 8 Reveals Patch Notes for Update 2.00

    Bandai Namco has revealed patch notes for Tekken 8 update 2.00, which also marks the beginning of Season 2.

    This new update includes early access to Anna Williams for Season 2 Pass owners, multiple online and offline modes adjustments, and balance changes for all characters and mechanics. The patch is available now to download on all platforms, and Anna Williams will release later tonight.

    Additionally, this upcoming season will introduce many updates to the battle system, significant adjustments, and new moves for each character. The overall goals with Season 2 are to improve the Heat System and improve controls to strengthen defensive techniques. Additionally, the throw mechanic has been adjusted based on community feedback. Players who successfully throw tech their opponents will no longer lose health in the process.

    Moreover, during the Anna Williams edition of Tekken Talk Live, Bandai Namco revealed that Tekken 8 Season 2 will feature multiple returning characters and a new stage celebrating the 45th anniversary of PAC-MAN. The DLC will be released throughout the summer and fall, and an all-new character and stage will be released in winter 2025. In total, Season 2 will feature six DLCs, with four characters and two stages. Moreover, Tekken 8 will soon collaboration with Koei Tecmo and Gust’s Atelier Yumia for free DLC.

    Thus far, Tekken 8 has sold three million copies. This milestone was reached around the game’s first anniversary, and the game is on pace to sell faster than Tekken 7. As shown in the 1st anniversary trailer for Tekken 8, this series has seen massive growth, with new players coming in at every iteration. Bandai Namco thanks the players playing and being a part of the growth. 

    Tekken 8 is available now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Additionally, Tekken 8 is officially a part of the EVO 2025 main game lineup.
