Bandai Namco Entertainment and CREEK & RIVER have jointly established URS Games, a mobile games development studio in Tokyo, Japan. The studio will begin its operations on April 1, 2025.

URS Games will utilize CREEK & RIVER’s expertise with Bandai Namco Entertainment’s intellectual property, game production, and marketing capabilities to develop high quality content that can be enjoyed by a wider range of people.

In a press release, CREEK & RIVER president and representative director Katsuhito Aoki said (translated by Gematsu), “CREEK & RIVER has established URS Games together with a wonderful partner, Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. We are very happy to be able to start our business without any problems. As the name of our company suggests, we will sincerely aim to create content that will be loved not only in Japan but also around the world, using our excellent character expression, network technology, and the determination backed by many years of management experience.”

Bandai Namco Entertainment recently rebranded Super Robot Wars and Mobile Suit Gundam series developer B.B. Studio to Bandai Namco Forge Digitals. The studio will continue to develop games like Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation 2 and Super Robot Wars to bring “excitement beyond expectations.”

According to Bandai Namco, the studio’s new name exemplifies “skilled artisans creating high-quality works (Forge)” and “having unlimited potential (Digitals).” The next game by Bandai Namco Forge Digitals will be Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Battle Destiny Remastered, coming to Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam on May 22.

The remaster includes improved visuals, and the release marks the first time the game has ever been officially localized in English. Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Battle Destiny was previously only available in Japan for PlayStation Vita when it launched in 2012.
