Perfect World Games announced Persona 5: The Phantom X Version 4.0 “The Melancholy of the Masked Actor” will launch on April 10. A Persona 3 Reload collaboration will also be held in Persona 5: The Phantom X as well.
Persona 5: The Phantom X Version 4.0 features a story arc focusing on a high school drama festival, and it will feature new characters. The collaboration will feature the Persona 3 Reload protagonist as a playable character, and his in-game model and a new illustration by character designer Shigenori Soejima were revealed as well.
Additionally, Persona 5: The Phantom X will receive a new opening movie with the theme song “Show Stealer” by Lyn and ATLUS Sound Team. The new song is now streaming on Spotify.
Pre-registration for Persona 5: The Phantom X is live in Japan, and players may pre-register by following the official Japanese Twitter account or friending the official LINE account. The release date for the Japanese version will be announced in May 2025.
A global release is planned at some point, followed by console versions of Persona 5: The Phantom X. Perfect World Games also wants to host collaborations with other Persona titles. Persona 5: The Phantom X is available now for Android, iOS, and PC in China, Taiwan, and South Korea, and the Steam version is coming soon to China.
Lastly, the latest entry in the Persona series, Persona 3 Reload, is available now along with the Episode Aigis -The Answer-. Both are available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
