Blue Gale Xabungle Experimental Video Announced

    It will air in May.

    Published:

Bandai Namco Filmworks has announced a new “experimental video,” which will adapt the Blue Gale Xabungle anime. A promotional video for the project released, confirming that it will release in May 2025.

An experimental video uses new footage and animation techniques to make a new iteration of a specific piece of an anime’s identity. Bandai has made two experimental videos to date, both of which reimagine the mecha, opening/ending sequences, and weapons of the Aura Battler Dunbine anime. Check out the new promotional video for the upcoming experimental video below:

Blue Gale Xabungle initially aired in 1982. An anime film adapting the series would later release in 1983. It is unknown what the experimental video, titled Blue Gale Xabungle Side L, will adapt from the original series. Bandai Namco Filmworks will likely confirm more in the weeks leading up to its launch.

The original anime is available to watch on HIDIVE. The streaming service describes it as follows:

On the planet Zora, there are two societies: the Innocent and the Civilians. Jiron Amos seeks revenge against the outlaw who killed his parents, but in a world where Civilian crimes are forgiven if they’re not brought to justice within three days, there’s little he can do. Taking his revenge into his own hands, Jiron steals the mecha Xabungle and teams up with a group of bandits, the Sandrats. As his quest continues, Jiron’s actions sow the seeds of rebellion against the Innocent

Lastly, the Blue Gale Xabungle experimental video will premiere in May 2025.
