The anime will air on April 3.

    Published:

Netflix has revealed the main Japanese cast members for the upcoming Devil May Cry anime. The anime will air on April 3.

According to Netflix’s Twitter/X account, the Japanese cast for the Devil May Cry anime includes Toshiyuki Morikawa as Dante, Fumiko Orikasa as Lady, and Hiroaki Hirata as Vergil. The English cast is as follows:

    • Johnny Yong Bosch as Dante
    • Scout Taylor-Compton as Lady
    • Hoon Lee as White Rabbit
    • Kevin Conroy as VP Baines
    • Chris Coppola as Enzo

While the rest of the cast for the anime is unknown, Vergil’s voice bears a striking resemblance to Robbie Daymond. Daymond has voiced numerous beloved characters such as Akechi from Persona 5. Limp Bizkit’s “Rollin’” will serve as the opening theme song. Studio Mir and Adi Shankar will produce the eight-episode series, which highlights Dante, Vergil, and Lady. The series will have multiple seasons.

Capcom released the first Devil May Cry game in 2001 for the PlayStation 2. The game started as a prototype version of Resident Evil 4 before evolving into its own franchise. To date, Capcom has released five entries in the series. Adi Shankar, who has previously worked on Captain Laserhawk and Castlevania, first teased the anime in 2018, around the same time Devil May Cry 5 launched.

The entire Devil May Cry series is available on most modern consoles. This includes Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 2, Devil May Cry 3, Devil May Cry 4, and the most recent entry, Devil May Cry 5. Devil May Cry 5 is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Lastly, the upcoming Devil May Cry anime will premiere exclusively on Netflix on April 3.
