Kuro Games announced the next version update for Wuthering Waves. Wuthering Waves Version 2.2, titled Tangled Truth in Inverted Tower, will be released for Android, iOS, and PC via Windows and Epic Games Store, and on PlayStation 5 on March 27, 2025 (UTC+8). The previously announced MacOS version will also release on that same day.
The developer has also announced that the game will be coming to Steam on April 28th, 2025. Wishlisting is currently available here.

Wuthering Waves Version 2.2 Resonators
A new Resonator will be added in Version 2.2. Cantarella is a Havoc Resonator who wields a recitifier in combat. As the 36th head of the Fisalia Family, she is a woman of mystery and rumors, where some claim that she is capable of creating hallucinations on those who meet her.
In combat, she throws her umbrella forward, summoning venomous jellyfish to attack enemies. Her attacks build up her Forte Gauge, Trance, and once that is filled, performing a Heavy Attack on the ground will apply the Mirage state to her, increasing her attack speed. Furthermore, using her Forte will also recover HP for all Resonators in the party. Her Resonance Skill is also capable of slowing down enemy movement.
Version 2.2 will also see the Rover awaken to a new attribute, Aero. This form of the Rover wields a sword of Aero resonance, and is able to move swiftly through the air, slashing enemies with precision. When certain conditions are met, the Rover’s Mid-air Attacks will also restore HP to the entire team. Using Resonance Liberation will deal Aero damage to enemies and also restore HP.
Cantarella will be available during the first half of banners in Version 2.2, alongside a rerun of Camellya’s banner. The second half of the update will only feature a singular banner, which is a rerun for Shorekeeper. The Weapon Banner will also be updated accordingly.
Wuthering Waves Version 2.2 Improvements
- The official PC launcher now supports incremental content updates. This reduces the size of game resources that need downloading and the length of the downloading process.
- Color Settings: Adjust the brightness, contrast, and color saturation of the game’s graphics.
- Quick Access to Supplies in Backpack: When upgrading a Resonator, players can now select the Supply Pack through the How to Get menu and open the Supply Pack that drops the target Material, instead of going back to the Backpack to locate and open the corresponding Supply Pack.
- Story Review: As you play through a quest, use the ‘Review’ button to review the text for the part of the story you’ve just experienced.
- Titles: Meet requirements to unlock Titles that mark your growth as a fighter and the achievements you’ve made along the way.
- Exploration: The numbers of Waypoints and Casket Sonar that can be deployed simultaneously have been increased to 10 and 5 respectively.
