During AnimeJapan 2025, Kodansha released a new teaser trailer for the With You and the Rain (Ame to Kimi to) anime adaptation. The teaser trailer confirms that With You and the Rain will air on TV Asahi and more than 20 other affiliate channels.
The With You and the Rain anime will premiere in July 2025. Lesprit is producing and animating the new anime series, with Tomohiro Tsukimisato as the director. Touko Machida is in charge of the series scripts, and Ayano Ōwada is designing the anime’s characters.

Kō Nikaido launched the With You and the Rain manga in Weekly Young Magazine in August 2020, and the series is still ongoing. Kodansha published the seventh volume of the manga on September 5, 2024 in Japan. Kodansha USA Publishing released the sixth volume on May 28, 2024, and a release date for the seventh volume was not confirmed for the west. The series surpassed 500,000 copies in circulation in August 2024.
