During AnimeJapan 2025, CyberAgent revealed a new trailer for the TV anime adaptation of The Summer Hikaru Died, confirming that TOOBOE performs the ending theme song “you are my monster. Three new cast members for the anime were also confirmed in the latest trailer for The Summer Hikaru Died.
The cast of The Summer Hikaru Died includes:
- Chiaki Kobayashi as Yoshiki Tsujinaka
- Shūichirō Umeda as Hikaru Indou
- Yumiri Hanamori as Asako Yamagishi
- Wakana Kowaka as Rie Kurebayashi
- Chikahiro Kobayashi as Tanaka
The Summer Hikaru Died is coming soon to Netflix, and it will be produced by Cygames Pictures and published by Kadokawa.
Ryohei Takeshita (Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night) is directing the new anime. Yuichi Takahashi is the character designer and chief animation director, and Masanobu Hiraoka is the DORODORO animator.
