The official website for the Trigun Stampede anime series announced Trigun Stargaze, the “final phase” of the anime, will premiere in 2026. The season will take place 2.5 years after the end of Trigun Stampede.
Masako Sato directs the anime series at studio Orange, and Takehiko Oxi returns to write the original story of Trigun Stargaze. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu writes and supervises the series scripts. Kouji Tajima is the original character designer and concept artist. Kiyotaka Oshiyama is the animation character designer for the anime.

Yasuhiro Nightow’s original Trigun manga ran from 1995 to 1997 in Tokuma Shoten’s Monthly Shonen Captain magazine. The manga continued with Trigun Maximum from 1997 to 2007 in Shonengahosha’s Young King Ours magazine. Dark Horse Comics released the manga outside of Japan in English.
Madhouse produced the anime series for 26 episodes in Japan in 1998. Two years later, the anime came to North America in 2000. Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim programming block aired the anime in 2003. The original Trigun anime is also streaming on Crunchyroll.
