    Published:

Koei Tecmo and Omega Force released a new update for Dynasty Warriors: Origins on Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam) featuring a new Arabic text language option, staff weapon adjustments, and much more.

The latest Dynasty Warriors: Origins update also adds a Skill Points trading feature, which can be used after completing the game. A release date for the update on PlayStation 5 is unclear at the time of this writing.

Patch notes for the new update may be read below, via the game’s official website:

Dynasty Warriors: Origins Update Patch Notes

    • Xbox Series X|S:ver.1.0.0.7
    • Steam:ver.1.0.0.6

    Additional Features and Adjustments

    • Added Arabic as a text language option.
    • Adjusted the staff weapon. The continuous attack executed by holding the Strong Attack button has been made more potent and the “Furious Tiger Dance” Battle Art has been given an effect that staggers enemies.
    • Added a Skill Points trading feature. After completing the game, you can trade them for Portable Items and gold at the Shui Jing Retreat.

    Bug Fixes

    • Fixed an exploit allowing high walls and cliffs to be scaled by repeatedly attacking in midair.
    • Fixed other minor bugs.

Moreover, Dynasty Warriors: Origins surpassed one million copies sold worldwide in just under a month’s time. Koei Tecmo also confirmed that the Dynasty Warriors: Origins demo exceeded two million downloads worldwide. In the demo, players may play the Battle of Sishui Gate. After TGS 2024, the developers adjusted the demo with additional elements that weren’t present in the TGS build, making it more challenging.

Dynasty Warriors: Origins takes players deep into Ancient China, with the story going from the Yellow Turban Rebellion to the Battle of Chibi. As a nameless hero, players must make choices to restore peace and shape history in their own way. While traveling the world map, players may suppress or rescue government forces in Missions, overcome Skirmishes, or restock on gear and weapons at various locations. Bonds may be forged with characters such as Cao Cao and Liu Bei as well.

Lastly, Dynasty Warriors: Origins is available now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Both Dynasty Warriors Origins and the demo are PS5 Pro Enhanced. This means that the game supports PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution and additional features that boost resolution and frame rate on the platform.
