Bandai Namco revealed new details about Media.Vision-developed turn-based RPG Digimon Story Time Stranger at Digimon Con 2025, including the game story, locations, and staff.
The game’s story begins in Tokyo, Japan, with the protagonist (Dan Yuki or Kanan Yuki) serving as an agent of ADAMAS, a secret organization that specializes in investigating and solving anomalous phenomena. During the investigation, the player will encounter Digimon for the first time in Shinjuku, an area sealed off by the government. There, they get caught in a mysterious explosion and wake up eight years in the past.
Players will explore the deep bond between people in the human world and Digimon from the Digital World: Iliad. Digimon may be tamed, recruited, and trained for your cause, and Iliad’s Central Town serves as a major hub for the player and Digimon alike. Players must work together and evolve their Digimon’s abilities in order to seek the truth behind a mystery and save both worlds.
Inori Misono, a kind-hearted girl who travels across worlds with agents, and her partner Digimon Aegiomon, are key to the story. The Olympos XII will also be central the story. Players may look forward to more than 450 Digimon as well. Patamon, Gomamon, and DemiDevimon will be the starter Digimon.
Durarara!! and Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor illustrator Suzuhito Yasuda is the main character designer of Digimon Story Time Stranger. Bosses are designed by Air Gear illustrator Oh! great (Ito Ōgure), and Masafumi Takada returns as the music composer.
