    Cat’s Eye Anime Reboot Premieres in September 2025

    It will air on Star via Disney Plus in Japan.

    Disney Plus Japan has announced that the new reboot anime of Cat’s Eye will release in September 2025. It will release on Disney Plus’ Star brand in Japan.

    Tsukasa Hōjō initially released the Cat’s Eye manga in 1981. It ran until 1985 and focused on three cafe owners who become art thieves at night. The original anime released in 1983 with two seasons airing. The original manga is available to read on the MangaHot app. The series would have a collaboration with Lupin III in 2023. Amazon Prime describes the film as follows:

    Hitomi, Rui, and Ai are sisters and cat burglars. They steal a painting from a museum around the same time Lupin the 3rd appears to steal another painting himself. Both paintings are part of Michael Heinz’s series titled the Girl and the Flowers. To the girls, the paintings are clues for their missing father’s whereabouts. When they learn Lupin is after the same target, a fire lights inside them.

    Lastly, the new Cat’s Eye anime will release in September 2025, and it will air on Star via Disney Plus in Japan.
