Kodansha revealed new cast members for the upcoming With You and the Rain (Ame to Kimi to) anime adaptation.
The cast of the With You and the Rain anime includes:
- Saori Hayami as Fuji
- Yuna Kamakura as Mimi
- Satomi Satō as Ren
- Yuzu Yumoto as Krause Ella Kii
- Anna Mugiho as You (Kimi) – new
- Yōji Ueda as Tatsuo – new
- Mie Sonozaki as Michiko – new
- Kikunosuke Toya as Teru – new
- Yumiri Hanamori as Wako – new
- Rin Chafu as Mr. Veterinarian – new
The With You and the Rain anime will premiere in July 2025. The anime will air on the new “NUMAnimation” programming block on TV Asahi and over 20 affiliate channels. More details about the anime will be revealed at its dedicated stage event during AnimeJapan 2025.
Lesprit is producing and animating the new anime series, with Tomohiro Tsukimisato as the director. Touko Machida is in charge of the series scripts, and Ayano Ōwada is designing the anime’s characters. More cast and staff members will be revealed at a later date, so stay tuned.
Kō Nikaido launched the With You and the Rain manga in Weekly Young Magazine in August 2020, and the series is still ongoing. Kodansha published the seventh volume of the manga on September 5, 2024 in Japan. Kodansha USA Publishing released the sixth volume on May 28, 2024, and a release date for the seventh volume was not confirmed for the west. The series surpassed 500,000 copies in circulation in August 2024.
