    3rd Mononoke Film Premieres in Spring 2026

    Mononoke the Movie Trilogy: Chapter 2 released today in theaters.

    Twin Engine has announced that a 3rd Mononoke film is in development and will release in spring 2026. It is titled Gekijōban Mononoke Dai-San-Shō: Hebigami.

    Today, Mononoke the Movie Trilogy: Chapter 2 released in Japanese theaters. Aina The End performs the theme for the upcoming movie, titled “Hana Musō.” The first part of the Mononoke the Movie Trilogy is available now on Netflix. Additionally, the original anime series is available on both it and Crunchyroll.

    In feudal Japan, evil spirits known as mononoke plague both households and the countryside. Only one person has the power to kill them where they stand: the Medicine Seller. But in order to draw his spirit-slaying sword he must first understand the Form, Truth, and Reason of the mononoke. Armed with sharp wit, he wanders from place to place striking down the evil spirits in his wake.

    Lastly, the 3rd Mononoke film will release in spring 2026. A western release date and streaming service for the Mononoke the Movie Trilogy: Chapter 2 film is currently unknown.
