Previously planned to release on March 26.

    Published:

Gaming Factory has delayed the release of JDM: Japanese Drift Master from March 26 to May 21 for PC via Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store. According to the developers, JDM: Japanese Drift Master has been delayed in order to improve every detail of the game for the release version.

“From the very beginning, our guiding principle has been quality,” Gaming Factory said in press release. “Every drift, every car, every road has been carefully crafted to bring the most immersive open-world drifting experience possible. After careful consideration, we believe that taking extra time for the final polish is the best course of action to deliver a game that meets and exceeds expectations.”
Gaming Factory continued, “We are confident that this additional time will allow us to refine every detail, ensuring a seamless and unforgettable experience from day one. The support, feedback, and enthusiasm of our community have been instrumental in our journey, and we remain committed to making JDM: Japanese Drift Master the best it can be.”

JDM: Japanese Drift Master features fan-favorite cars from Honda, Mazda, Subaru, and Nissan. Each car can be upgraded mechanically and visually. Fans can expect additional presets for driving wheels and sim-driving hardware, along with a keybinding feature. The game also features a day and night cycle, along with dynamic weather.

Lastly, here’s an overview via Gaming Factory:

JDM: Japanese Drift Master takes the players to an open-world, fictional Japanese prefecture – Guntama. It spans over 250 km in main roads and features the most famous tourist landmarks, as well as legendary car enthusiast spots, mixed together to create one cohesive and stunning world. From the recreation of the Himeji Castle to our Guntama’s own Daikoku parking area, whether you’re a racing fan or just want to drive through Japanese roads – you’ll always find something exciting to do!

    An engaging story

You will follow the story of Touma, a Polish driver who dreams of making a name for himself on the local street racing scene. With some help from his Japanese friends, he dives deep into the competition but quickly learns that fierce rivals are standing in his way. Will he manage to reach the top? Drama, action, and even love await the players.

The story is told through in-game events and a manga (Japanese comic book), meticulously drawn by our internal art team. Each time the player takes part in an event, pages of the comic book will lead them in or build up the narrative for what’s next to come.
