The event heads to Osaka first this May.

    Published:

The Pokémon Company and Niantic have opened ticket sales for Pokémon GO Fest 2025 in-person events. Like previous iterations of the yearly spectacle, fans around the world can also purchase tickets and take part in the global event.

Volcanion makes its debut during the 2025 edition of Pokémon GO Fest. Trainers will be able to encounter the elusive Steam Pokémon, and those with Pokémon GO Fest tickets can complete exclusive Special Research to learn more about the Pokémon and earn a guaranteed encounter. After completing more than one Special Research story, all subsequent Special Research stories award Volcanion Candy.

Fans in Osaka, Japan will be the first to encounter Volcanion when Pokémon GO Fest comes to the Expo ’70 Commemorative Park on May 29 through June 1, 2025. Pokémon GO Fest 2025 heads to Liberty State Park in Jersey City, New Jersey on June 6 through June 8, followed by the Parc de Sceaux just outside of Paris, France on June 13 through 15.

Trainers who are unable to attend the in-person events can participate in the Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Global event from June 28 to June 29. Tickets will be available at Niantic’s official ticketing website, and global tickets will be available for purchase in the in-game shop. All Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Global ticket purchases by April 15 include Timed Research that awards an encounter with Skiddo. The Timed Research is available between April 8 and April 15 at 10:00 a.m. local time.

Fans can also look forward to a wide and varied selection of apparel and accessories at in-person events. The items are available via pre-order only and must be picked up at the event park during the ticketed event day. Ticket holders can make additional purchases while supplies last, and more details are coming soon.
