The staff for the popular anime The Rising of the Shield Hero released a new visual to celebrate its upcoming fourth season. The staff of The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 4 also announced the anime’s July 2025 release window and new cast members for the anime’s highly anticipated return.
As mentioned earlier, Kadokawa released a new key visual to celebrate the return of the highly anticipated anime. However, the exact release date for The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 4 was not confirmed yet.

The new cast members are Takeo Ōtsuka, who stars as Werner, and Jirō Saitō as Jaralis. There’s no word about returning cast members yet. Still, it is safe to say that Kaito Ishikawa, Asami Seto, and Rina Hidaka will be reprising their roles as Naofumi, Raphtalia, and Filo, respectively. The staff will also hold a Shield Fes event with some cast members and musicians on June 15.

Iwatani Naofumi, a run-of-the-mill otaku, finds a book in the library that summons him to another world. He is tasked with joining the sword, spear, and bow as one of the Four Cardinal Heroes and fighting the Waves of Catastrophe as the Shield Hero.
Excited by the prospect of a grand adventure, Naofumi sets off with his party. However, merely a few days later, he is betrayed and loses all his money, dignity, and respect. Unable to trust anyone anymore, he employs a slave named Raphtalia and takes on the Waves and the world.
But will he really find a way to overturn this desperate situation?
