Among Us VR Will Be Rebranded to Among Us 3D

No need for a VR headset this time.

    Published:

Schell Games and Innersloth announced first-person social deduction game Among Us VR will be rebranded to Among Us 3D in the next few months. Among Us 3D will be available on PC via Steam with crossplay, and no VR headset is required.

Among Us 3D will be featured with an early demo during Steam Next Fest from February 24 to March 1. The game will feature cross-platform lobbies between PC gamers and VR players on Meta Quest, Steam VR, PlayStation VR 2, and PICO devices.

The same key features, including voice chat, customization options, game modes, roles, and more are supported without the need to play in VR. Moreover, Among Us 3D will introduce Stardust, a new in-game currency designed to expand customization options and support development of the game.

“With Among Us 3D, we’re excited to bring the first-person perspective to an even wider audience,” said Schell Games project director Ryan Hall. “By uniting VR and PC players, we’re opening up even more ways to brutally betray your friends—your whole crew can get in on the fun!”

“The launch of Among Us VR gave players the chance to step inside the game, bringing an entirely new level of suspense and hilarity to the social deduction experience,” said Innersloth community director Victoria Tran. “This crossplay feature strengthens our amazing community, making it easier than ever for players to team up—or backstab each other—regardless of their platform.”
