Boruto Two Blue Vortex Chapter 19 Review – Trouble Down in Kazegakure

It's not looking good for the team!

    Published:

Chapter 19 of Boruto Two Blue Vortex was pretty chaotic, showcasing the aftermath of the Kazegakure mission falling apart. However, there are a lot of interesting things that happen in the chapter that I’d like to talk about. Whether big or small, there are lots of points in Chapter 19 that you could take and speculate on what could happen in future chapters.

What Happened in Boruto Two Blue Vortex Chapter 19?

One of the first things that stood out to me in this chapter is how Araya possibly sees Yodo as a love interest. In the beginning of the chapter, where we see the flashback with Shinki, Araya mentions that all Shinki talks about is his adoptive father Gaara. However, Shinki claps back by saying that all Araya talks about is Yodo., making him seem like he is a hypocrite.

The panels then go from Araya’s face to Yodo’s side, with Araya commenting, “It’s not like that.” I personally think that Araya might have intimate feelings for Yodo, but his comment afterward could also imply that it may be something more profound. Regardless, these mysterious feelings Araya has for Yodo could lead into interesting plot developments happening in the future, such as Araya sacrificing himself for her in the fight.

It doesn’t help that the fight against Ryu worsens, with him summoning Claw Grimes and Araya losing his sword. Things looked great initially, but now it all just looks terrible. Elsewhere, Matsuri keeps shouting at Konohamaru and starts to begin devouring him. Hearing all of these events happening from Eida, Boruto gets the urge to want to help them out. Once again though, Kashin Koji warns Boruto not to instinctively rush over there.

    The Dangers of Love

What happens next is intriguing, as Jura talks amongst the humanoid Divine Trees about the harmful effects of intelligence. Jura feels that concepts such as “love” and acquiring intelligence keep lifeforms from achieving the goal of evolution. Only through obeying your instincts can lifeforms evolve and reach their full potential. Of course, Jura warns that the rest of the Divine Trees shouldn’t fall prey to this and should instead follow their instincts.

Yet, this won’t happen for Boruto and crew, as love is enormous for them. Jura could use this to his advantage by attacking one of Boruto’s loved ones. If he attacks them, he will surely lure out Boruto where he wants him. As we saw in this chapter, Boruto was ready to rush into that battlefield to help out the mission in Kazegakure. This begs the question, what if things get worse and Boruto just ignores Kashin Koji’s warnings?
