Rainbow Six Siege initially released in 2015. The new major update, Siege X, will be its biggest update to date. At this rate, it is unlikely that Ubisoft will release a sequel for the game anytime soon, especially considering the failure of games like Rainbow Six Extraction. The R6 team has been working tirelessly to bring to life the biggest transformation in the game’s history and its purpose is to reinforce Rainbow Six Siege‘s position at the top of tactical first-person shooters by introducing new ways to play, deepened tactical gameplay, refined game feel and major upgrades all around. To celebrate this new age of Siege, we are holding an exclusive event that you’re invited to attend; The Rainbow Six Siege X Showcase.
Lastly, Rainbow Six Siege X is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The Steam page describes it as follows:
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege is an elite, realistic, tactical team-based shooter where superior planning and execution triumph. It features 5v5 attack vs. defense gameplay and intense close-quarters combat in destructible environments.
