    Pokémon GO Tour: Unova Will Include California Wildfire Relief Efforts

    The Pokémon Company has announced that the upcoming Pokémon GO Tour: Unova event will feature relief efforts to the recent California wildfire. The company will donate 1 million USD to several non-profit organizations. 

    Moreover, The Pokémon Company will also donate $500,000 to California Community Foundation, Latino Community Foundation, Pasadena Community Foundation, and Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.

    The Pokémon GO Tour: Unova event will last from February 21 to 23, and it will return to the the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California. The event’s relief efforts will support families affected by the Southern California wildfires. 

    “This year’s event is about more than just catching Pokémon,” The Pokémon Company said in a new blog post. “Pokémon GO Tour will include dedicated wildfire relief efforts, giving attendees the opportunity to support families affected by recent wildfires in Southern California.”

    The Pokémon Company continued, “Alongside these community initiatives, Pokémon GO Tour: Unova will transform the Rose Bowl Stadium and surrounding areas into a dynamic Pokémon playground, featuring themed habitats, rare Pokémon encounters, and unique photo opportunities with beloved Pokémon mascots.”

    Recently, the Pokémon Company and Niantic announced players can prepare for Pokémon GO Tour: Unova with the new “Road to Unova” event. Additionally, it will be held from February 24 to March 1.

    Niantic reiterates that the Pokémon GO Tour: Unova event will feature an all-new Tour Pass. It will include free and limited-time progression tracks. Further, players will be able to earn rewards from the Tour Pass by completing activities and Pass Tasks, catching Pokémon, and hatching Eggs from February 24 at 10:00 a.m. to March 2 at 6:00 p.m. local time.
