Toei Animation announced the first of the two compilation movies for the Girls Band Cry anime series, Girls Band Cry: Rhapsody of Youth, will premiere on October 3, 2025. The second compilation movie, titled Girls Band Cry: Hey, Future., will premiere one month later on November 14.

Kazuo Sakai directed the episodic anime series at Toei Animation, with Jukki Hanada handling series compositions. In addition, Nari Teshima was the character designer for the anime, and Mari Kondō and Jae Hoon Jung were the CGI directors. Kenji Tamai was the composer, and Yūsuke Tanaka was credited for music accompaniment.
Moreover, a new Girls Band Cry mobile game adaptation for Android and iOS. Development is currently underway with no confirmed release date. Auditions for band members and cast members for the game will be held in 2025.
The Girls Band Cry anime premiered on April 5, 2024 in Japan. The English release followed up on August 13 digitally in North America, and Crunchyroll started to stream all 13 episodes of the anime on November 6, 2024.
