Kotobukiya announced Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land protagonist Yumia Liessfeldt will receive a brand-new scale figure. Further details about the Yumia Liessfeldt figure wasn’t announced, but Kotobukiya shared a promotional visual with art by Atelier Yumia illustrator Benitama.
Benitama also shared a new Atelier Yumia key visual alongside the release of the “New Game System” overview trailer. As previously discussed, the game explores the fall of the Aladissian Empire, which once thrived under the use of alchemy. Alchemy became known as a taboo and evil art in the centuries that followed. However, a lone girl named Yumia learned that her family belonged to a lineage of alchemists, and she began to question many things, especially after losing to mother to an accident three years ago.
In Atelier Yumia, players can use the Synthesis system to create new items for combat and exploration. More powerful items can be created by using Resonance Synthesis, which requires more ingredients and materials that resonate with the recipe’s Alchemy Core. The strength of the resonance is based on the quality of ingredients, just like in prior entries.
The combat system has been revamped in Atelier Yumia to offer more intense battles. The skills available to active team members depends on their distance from the enemy. Players can now move or interchange characters at anytime, and conditions can be met to unleash a powerful Friend Combo in battle. Moreover, Mana Surge may be activated to perform exclusive actions and a powerful special move.
Lastly, Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land launches on March 21 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
