Warner Bros. has announced that MultiVersus will be ending service on May 30. The game’s final season will start on February 4, and it will continue until MultiVersus ends service. The final two characters that the developers will add to the game are Aquaman and Lola Bunny. An offline mode will continue to be available after May 30, however, all online features will be disabled.
Further, the game will be delisted from all digital store pages. The game initially released in 2022 and won best fighting game of the year before being delisted. It would return in 2024. It’s worth noting that the feature where players could use all characters, regardless of if they were unlocked or not, is no longer available. When the game ends service, players will only be able to play as the characters they’ve unlocked.
The MultiVersus team stated, “As of today, January 31, real money transactions will no longer be available for MultiVersus, which means you can no longer purchase Gleamium, but you can still use remaining Gleamium or character tokens to access in-game content until Season 5 ends on May 30 at 9 a.m. PST. Additionally, when Season 5 finishes, the game will no longer be available to download via the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Steam, or Epic Games Store.”

MultiVersus is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. The game will be delisted on May 30, similarly to the recent end of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
