This morning, Day of the Devs confirmed that both Day of the Devs: San Francisco Edition and Day of the Devs: GDC Edition will return in March 2025. Submissions are still open through February 3, so don’t hesitate to apply if you’re creating a new indie game!
Day of the Debs: San Fransisco Edition is set to take place on Sunday, March 16th at The Midway, an event space located in San Francisco’s Dogpatch District. This event is set to offer 60 hand-picked titles chosen by the Day of the Devs team, with music, food, and more surprises planned. Best of all? The event is completely free to both the public and developers, so you can plan for a day full of indie games free of charge.
As for Day of the Devs: GDC Edition, this event will feature a selection of games from Day of the Devs: San Francisco Edition. If you plan on attending GDC, you can check out 12 unreleased games and speak with the teams behind them. Members of the public will have the opportunity to try out these games as well with the GDC Nights Program each night from 6:30 PM to 10 PM PST. More information about both Day of the Devs events will be released as we head closer to March.
Day of the Devs is a 501(C)(3) non-profit built to give a platform to indie developers all around the world. Each year, multiple events, both virtual and physical, are crafted, with no cost at all to any developer or attendee. Most recently, Day of the Devs: The Game Awards Edition 2024 was hosted in December.
