Koei Tecmo and Akatsuki Games announced the global version of Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator will be shutting down on March 28, 2025 at 11:00 (UTC+8). All in-game purchases have been disabled, but players who currently hold Lodestar Gems may use it until end of service.
According to the Atelier Resleriana development team, they assessed that they’re unable to continue providing content at a satisfactory standard to players. As a result, the decision was made to end the game’s service. Although the global version is ending service, Atelier Resleriana will continue to receive in-game events leading up to the shutdown date.
The story of Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator was written by TAKAHIRO, who previously worked on Yuki Yuna is a Hero. Shinichi Yoshiike served a the supervisor for the game. Moreover, Umiu Geso and tokki were character designers for the game. Development and updates were handled by Akatsuki Games. Reche performed the theme song “Saihate e” (To the Far Reaches of the World).
It’s worth noting that the shutdown doesn’t affect the upcoming offline RPG, Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & The White Guardian. The original story of Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & The White Guardian is set in the same world, but it features a new protagonist. The new title will launch in 2025 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.
Lastly, Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator is available now worldwide for Android, iOS, and PC via Steam until March 18.
