SNK announced an open beta test for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves will be held from February 20 to 24 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The open beta test doesn’t require PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass Core/Ultimate subscriptions to play online.

From February 20 at 12:00 a.m. PST to February 24 at 11:59 p.m. PST, players may enjoy some fighting game action in the Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves open beta test. It will feature the offline Tutorial mode and online Ranked Match, Casual Match, and Room Match modes. The Tutorial mode is not a mode for practice sessions or labs against an idle CPU.

A total of eight characters will be playable, and more details will be announced at a later date on SNK’s website. Save data from the open beta test doesn’t transfer to the full game.

At launch, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves will feature 17 playable characters at launch, with five additional characters arriving with Season Pass 1, including Ken and Chun-Li from Street Fighter. A Cristiano Ronaldo collaboration has also been teased. Here’s the DLC release schedule for Season Pass 1:

  • DLC Character 1 (Summer 2025)
  • DLC Character: Ken (Summer 2025)
  • DLC Character 3 (Fall 2025)
  • DLC Character: Chun-Li (Winter 2025)
  • DLC Character 5 (Early 2026)

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is set to release on April 24, 2025, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Physical pre-orders are available now.
