Bandai Namco and Byking announced that My Hero Ultra Rumble Season 9 begins on January 22 with playable hero Kurogiri, a new stage, and much more.
Firstly, Kurogiri joins the roster in My Hero Ultra Rumble Season 9 with several three useful Quirk Skills. Kurogiri’s Quirk Skill α: Dark Matter is a long-range attack that fires rotating black mist, which remains in place for a set time until impact or reaching its max range. Quirk Skill β: Warp Gate creates mists that connects space, allowing Kurogiri to connect instantly on short presses or launch the mist with a long-press toward a chosen point.
Kurogiri’s Quirk Skill γ: Shadow Haunt creates black mist while aiming, and it can be controlled with movement inputs. Long-pressing will stop control of the mist, but players must be careful as the mist can disappear if its attacked. Moreover, the Bail Out Special Action allows Kurogiri to warp a downed ally toward him in order for a safer revive.
Chaos City will be available as a new stage in My Hero Ultra Rumble Season 9. Additionally, new costumes will be available, including Cyberpunk and Parallel World costumes for Tomura Shiragaki and Momo Yaoyorozu, respectively. Full patch notes for Season 9 may be read here.

Previously, the developers revealed revealed some of their plans for My Hero Ultra Rumble in 2025, including cross-play support in a future season. Along with cross-play, Byking plans to introduce an appearance customization feature to My Hero Ultra Rumble, likely in 2025.
My Hero Ultra Rumble is available now for the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam.
