Level Infinite and Sharkmob confirmed that the upcoming playtest for open-world extraction shooter Exoborne will be held from February 12 at 5:00 a.m. PST / 8:00 a.m. EST to February 17, 2025 at 5:00 a.m. PST / 8:00 a.m. EST. It will be held on PC (Steam) only.
Steam users can sign up for the Exoborne playtest by heading to the Steam page and pressing “Request Access.” Before the playtest begins, fans can watch the latest Exoborne trailer to get a sneak peek at what’s to come.
“We’ve been conducting closed tests both online and in our studio for quite some time,” says Brynley Gibson, Executive Producer. “But this marks our first large-scale test, and it’s an incredibly exciting milestone for us. By entering this stage of open collaboration with the community, we’re eager to gather invaluable insights and feedback that will drive us to elevate the game to new heights.”
In Exoborne, players will utilize Exo-rigs, which give them a fighting chance in this bleak setting. These allow their users to enhance their physical capabilities, making them capable of powerful feats.
Players will explore a part of the southeastern US in an unforgiving, apocalyptic world transformed by the forces of nature. Public events and missions promise to let players experience their own stories in an ever-changing world.
Additionally, players will be able to craft new items and gear from the remnants of technology that can be found around the game world. With this in mind, the game promises to provide situations with high stakes.
