Koei Tecmo and developer Gust have launched Fairy Tail 2 and to celebrate, they’ve revealed a new launch trailer, new artwork, and details about the game’s DLC. The new artwork was illustrated by Fairy Tail creator Hiro Mashima.

In Fairy Tail 2, players gain access to the Key to the Unknown original story after completing the Alvarez Empire Arc. Players can also experience Character Stories, which highlight select members of the Fairy Tail crew. The journey continues with the first Fairy Tail 2 DLC on December 23.
The December 23 DLC release includes the Special Outfit: Complete Set and Erza Outfit: Miss Fairy Tail Contest. From January 2025, additional DLC will be released, including Bonus Scenario: Fairy Tail Hot Springs” and Outfit Set: Swimsuit. All the DLC is included with the Season Pass.
Fairy Tail 2 is available now for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. A Digital Deluxe Edition is available featuring the base game, Atelier Ryza DLC costumes, the “Atelier Lucy” bonus feature, and several in-game items. Moreover, a Digital Deluxe Edition will be available featuring additional DLC, including characters and scenarios.
A special edition is also now available exclusively through the NIS America store. The Fairy Tail 2 Guild Box edition includes the base game, the visual artbook “Sorcerer Magazine Special Issue: Game Release Edition Vol.2” inspired by the “Sorcerer Magazine” as seen in the original work, a Special Shikishi with Holographic Finish (three types in total), and more.
