FromSoftware announced Elden Ring Nightreign as their next title at The Game Awards 2024. Elden Ring Nightreign is a brand-new standalone co-op action-adventure game from the creators of Elden Ring, Dark Souls, and Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon.
The game is a multiplayer-focused spin-off set in a parallel Elden Ring universe, centered around the Roundtable Hold. Players choose from eight unique characters with distinct abilities and Ultimates. Upon choosing characters, players will venture into Limveld, a dynamic map affected by a night cycle called Night’s Tide, which shrinks the map and makes the game harder. Each session spans three nights, with each night requiring players to defeat a powerful boss. This will all culminate into a final battle against the Nightlord on the third night. While cooperation is encouraged for success, players can face the night alone. Defeated players earn relics to upgrade and customize their characters to fit their style of play.
The game will be available to play on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam in 2025.

According to FromSoftware president and CEO Hidetaka Miyazaki, they are working on multiple games across various genres. According to Miyazaki, some of the games in development at FromSoftware come in a variety of genres, with some being directed by him. He hopes that the company will be able to show players “a new FromSoftware in a variety of ways.”
Previously, Bandai Namco and FromSoftware revealed that Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree has reached five million players less than one week after launch. Despite its somewhat divisive reception due to its difficulty, its safe to say that Shadow of the Erdtree is a major hit.
Bandai Namco and FromSoftware recently released the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree original soundtrack on Apple Music, Spotify, and other streaming services worldwide. The original soundtrack features 36 music tracks composed by Yuka Kitamura, Shoi Miyazawa, Tai Tomizawa, Soma Tanizaki, and Tsukasa Saitoh.
