Double Dragon Revive will showcase a brand new update to fans at The Game Awards 2024. While no other information is revealed at this time, more details will be disclosed at the event.
Recently, the developers uploaded a trailer that introduced Marian and Yagyu, who both bring unique styles and special moves. Another trailer also reveals a first look at the returning boss character, Willy. Described as the “cruel leader of the Shadow Warriors who rule the city, he stands in the player’s way “with a whole new look and wielding his machine gun to perform action-packed moves!”

Double Dragon Revive’s story takes place fifteen years after the end of the nuclear war. People who survived the conflict have built colonies in this devastated world. The concept of a country is now lost, and powerful figures who govern the colonies now control politics and laws. One colony on the coast is a city ruled by the Shadow Warriors, a gang that has perpetuated the growing gap between the colony’s rich and poor.
Moreover, rumors of mysterious disappearances are rampant. The Lee brothers, who are masters of the Sosetsuken, live in a corner of the city along with childhood friend Marian. The story begins when younger brother Billy and his older brother, Jimmy, find the dojo they inherited in peril, due to the city’s evil schemes.
