Nippon Ichi Software announced a free demo of turn-based strategy RPG Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero is now available in Japan on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.

In the demo, players may progress from the beginning of Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero all the way to Chapter 2. Save data from the demo will carry over to the full game.

In the base game, Marona and her companions will rest and gear up at Skullrock Island, the crew’s base. Marona’s allies can manage Facilities to provide useful services. Players simply need to create a unit of the required class to unlock a new Facility. Benefits include additional items to purchase, a Juice Bar that lets you redistribute EXP, and the ability to use features like Dungeon Creation, Fusion, Awakening/Reincarnation, and much more.

The new “Postludes” postgame content in Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero sees the return of Laharl, Valvatorez, and Pirilika from the Disgaea series, along with Priere from La Pucelle Tactics, Cornet from Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure, and Asagi. Each character is adapted into the game’s new 3D style.

Moreover, new DLC for the game will add Scarlet, Sprout, Castile, and Walnut from the original Phantom Brave, Kotomo from Yomawari: Night Alone, The Liar Princes from The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince, Mad Rat & Heart from MAD RAT DEAD, and Samayoi from BAR Stella Abyss.

Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero launches January 30, 2025 for Nintendo Switc, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 in the west, followed by Steam in spring 2025. Pre-orders for the Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero Limited Edition are now live in the NIS Online Store for $99.99.
