Square Enix has just announced that they will be releasing a new line of figures. This new lineup is titled the PLAY ARTS 真 in Japanese, which is read as Play Arts Shin. They’re described as an improvement over the current PLAY ARTS KAI series of figures.
Play Arts Shin figures feature new hip and joint parts, allowing for a smoother and wider range of motion. For the first character in this series, Square Enix will be releasing Vincent Valentine’s figure. The figure is scheduled to be released on August 30th, 2025, and is currently available for pre-order via the Japanese Square Enix eStore, costing ¥23,100.
For this figure in specific, Vincent’s cape is made of actual fabric, and his red eyes, which can be moved, the gauntlets on the left arm, metallic boots, and other features of his characteristic appearance that were made more elaborate in Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth have all been carefully reproduced in this figure. Included in the box is also his iconic gun and various interchangeable hands, allowing you to recreate various scenes from the game.
