    Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta Test Pre-Load Now Live Ahead of an Update

    A new update fixes an identified bug.

    Capcom announced that the Monster Hunter Wilds open beta test is now available to pre-load on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The open beta itself will begin on October 31 at 8:00 p.m. PT / 11:00 p.m. ET.

    Alongside the pre-load, players may prepare for the Monster Hunter Wilds open beta test by downloading a new update. The update fixes a bug that the development team identified ahead of time. This update is required to play online. 

    As previously revealed, the open beta test will feature cross-play support, character creation, a Story Trial, and the Doshaguma Hunt. The Story Trial and Doshaguma Hunt may be completed solo or with others via SOS flare. Created characters may be transferred into the full game, and those who participate in the open beta test will receive a special bonus pendant or Seikret mount alongside a helpful item pack when the game launches. 

    Here’s when you can expect the open beta test to be active:

    • PlayStation 5
      • PlayStation Plus Early Access: October 28 at 8:00pm PT – October 30 at 7:59pm PT
      • Non-PlayStation Plus Subscribers: October 31 at 8:00pm PT – November 3 at 6:59pm PT
    • Xbox Series X|S: October 31 at 8:00pm PT – November 3 at 6:59pm PT
    • Steam: October 31 at 8:00pm PT – November 3 at 6:59pm PT
