PROTOTYPE, Visual Arts, and Key released a new update for the PC (Steam) version of romance visual novel Kanon worldwide to adjust the English and Simplified Chinese text options.

Kanon made its Nintendo Switch debut on April 20, 2023 in Japan, and the Switch version is coming soon worldwide. The Nintendo Switch version includes color enhancements, 16:9 aspect ratio, and the ability to scroll up/down event CG. Additionally, the game is fully voiced with the exception of the protagonist.

Kanon is the debut work from the visual novel studio, Key, known for titles such as CLANNAD, Little Busters, Summer Pockets and more. It received great acclaim and was even adapted into an anime series.

- Although the Windows version of Kanon has never had voice support before, the Steam version adds full voice support with an amazing cast of actors! (The protagonist is only voiced during certain parts of the game.)
- The text can be set to Japanese, English, or Simplified Chinese (audio only available in Japanese). This includes in-game text, options, and the digital manual. Language settings can be changed at any time.
- Touch gestures can also be used if you’re playing on a tablet PC or a Steam Deck.
