A new Death Note game by Bandai Namco has been rated in Taiwan for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. An official announcement appears to be imminent.
The Taiwanese rating isn’t the only indicator of a new Death Note game coming soon, however. According to Gematsu, the title “Death Note: Killer Within” was trademarked in this past June in the US, Europe, and Japan by Shueisha. This means that Bandai Namco and Shueisha are preparing for the game’s release in the near future.
Death Note is one of the most successful manga ever to be serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. The manga ran from December 1, 2003 to May 15, 2006, and 12 volumes were released to date. Madhouse animated the Death Note anime and released a total of 37 episodes from October 4, 2006 to June 27, 2007.
Lastly, here’s an overview of the manga series, via VIZ Media:

Any human whose name is written in the notebook dies, and Light has vowed to use the power of the Death Note to rid the world of evil. But will Light succeed in his noble goal, or will the Death Note turn him into the very thing he fights against?
