Nintendo released a new interview with the development team behind The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, confirming that the new game is developed by Grezzo. Grezzo previously worked on The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening for Nintendo Switch.
In the interview, series producer Eiji Aonuma discussed that he played The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom as it was being developed and provided feedback to Grezzo. At the heart of the project is director Tomomi Sano, the first female director for The Legend of Zelda series, and Grezzo director Satoshi Terada. Sano was involved in developing The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, Majora’s Mask 3D, Twilight Princess HD, and Link’s Awakening remake.
Two parts of the interview were released, with part three releasing September 24. Read up on each part of this insightful interview below:
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom releases on September 26 alongside a specially themed Nintendo Switch Lite system. Lastly, here’s an overview, via Nintendo:
It’s up to Zelda and her wisdom to save the kingdom of Hyrule in a brand-new story in The Legend of Zelda series. The people of Hyrule are being stolen away by strange rifts that have appeared, with a certain swordsman among the missing. Team up with the mysterious fairy, Tri, and use the power of the Tri Rod to create echoes – imitations of things found in the environment.
Then recreate those echoes whenever you like to solve puzzles and defeat enemies. Use echoes of water blocks to reach new heights, make bridges out of old beds, throw rocks at foes – or find your own creative combination of echoes to do things your way. You can even create echoes of monsters to fight at your side in combat.
